Filema Rodion - Handmade Local Treats
Across the Mediterranean, people traditionally adorned their walls with handmade, hand-painted blue-and-white pieces, blending artistic value with global influences. In Aegean tradition, richly decorated Rhodian plates are especially well known, featuring motifs such as birds, animals, ships, and more.
These plates became the starting point of our design—not merely as decorative objects, but as symbols: the vessel through which something is offered to another. ‘Filema’ means ‘to offer,’ and the packaging tells the brand’s story by visually expressing the act of offering.
We designed white surfaces - packages that allow the plates and their contents to take precedence. The visual language of the plates draws from the tradition of the Rhodes Island, while the composition remains restrained, with clear hierarchy and generous white space, guiding the eye toward the product and the gesture of offering.
